Co-op classes are a great way for students to connect with each other in a classroom atmosphere, while giving parents guidance and instruction to help them in their homeschooling journey. We’d love to have you as part of our co-op community!

ABOUT OUR CO-OP CLASSES

The Well Academy co-op is a branch of The Well Academy designed to help families in the education of their children, providing structure and classroom engagement for the core subjects. Classes occur once a week at each location (The Well Huntsville & The Well Scottsboro). New children will be tested in Math & English to ensure proper grade placement.

School Setup: Classes are offered for grades Pre-K-12. Lower School students (grades Pre-K-6) will have a homeroom teacher from whom they receive instruction in their core courses throughout the school day. Classes will be divided by grade and may be combined with other grades, dependent on enrollment. Upper school students (grades 7-12) will have rotating blocks of classes.

Class Setup: One or two courses may be offered in each time slot. This allows for multiple ages of students to be in the same classroom. While one course is being taught, students in the other course will take quizzes, work on class work, or prepare for the next lesson. Field trips will be offered periodically for those who are interested.

Dates for 2024-25: Classes begin the last week of August and end the second week of May. Contact us for co-op specific calendars.

Grading: The Well Academy will regularly give homework and assessments, for which students will receive grades. Teachers will provide quarterly grades for students for each course subject.

Enrollment for 2024-25: Early enrollment goes from April 1 - May 15 and costs $75 per child. Regular enrollment is May 15-June 30 and costs $125 per child. Late enrollment is June 30-August 3 and is $150 per child. Monthly tuition is due August-April and varies based on grade level and courses taken.

Class Offerings: We offer Math, Science, History, and English for grades Pre-K-6 in the grade appropriate levels. For Upper School, we will offer a rotation of Math (e.g. Algebra, Geometry), Science (e.g. Chemistry, Biology), English, and History courses. We will have electives offered throughout the year, as well.
