New Enrollments

The state of Alabama requires families to homeschool through one of two options:

The first option would be to homeschool independently. Families that choose to do so must notify their local board of education of their intent to homeschool or be subject to truancy laws.

The second option for families is to homeschool through a “Church School” (formerly called a “Cover School”). The Well Academy falls under this category. A church school will contact your local board of education on your behalf and notify them of your intent to homeschool.

We help homeschooling families in many areas like curriculum support, transcript preparations, testing, legal forms, and college admittance. We provide many opportunities for families to connect with each other through field trips, workshops, and other special gatherings. Seniors are offered a Graduation ceremony and reception and receive diplomas from The Well Academy. Members receive educational/student/teacher discounts, as well as HSLDA discounts.
